Meet Mrs. Barry

Mrs. Barry has had the pleasure of teaching at the Quogue School for 10 years. Recently she has had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mrs. Cafone, our loving and patient Pre-K teaching assistant. Mrs. Cafone and Mrs. Barry make a great team! Before teaching Pre-Kindergarten Mrs. Barry taught 2nd grade and 1st grade for many years.

She has a love of children's literature and holds the view that there is a book (or a poem) for everything. She loves sharing her favorite books and poems with the Pre-K children during story time. Mrs. Barry completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Mary Washington and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a Master of Science in Elementary Education. When she is not at school, Mrs. Barry can be found making big pots of play dough, spending time in the garden with her daughters, and enjoying many types of arts and crafts.
